Greetings! My name is Alma Garrity and I reside in beautiful Vero Beach, Florida with my husband. I am currently working as a 7th grade ELA teacher at an A-rated charter school in Sebastian, Florida, but am currently exploring other opportunities, in a part-time or remote capacity, that will enable me to utilize the literacy skills and experience I’ve accumulated over the last 28 years. As my resume indicates, I hold a Masters of Arts in both English and Education, with a Reading/Literacy Specialization, and am also a Certified Wilson Dyslexia Practitioner. Throughout my career, I have tutored a wide range of students in person and remotely, from elementary to college, not only in reading and writing improvement, but also in study skills, college planning, and ACT/SAT prep.
