Hi,my name is Cali Jennings. I love to learn about different ways to support the children that I teach. I also love to organize, play board games with my boyfriend, and spend way too much time on doom scrolling Tiktok. I hold a BS degree in Early Childhood Education but I believe that I am missing a part of my education. This missing piece is learning how to support special education kids too. I have always been told that I have an amazing patience level for kids. This has led me to getting my Masters in Special Education.I have learned through experience and a couple of semesters of my Masters how to understand the minds of kids so I can support them in whatever ways I can. I also have learned that these kids are more similar to “normal” kids and that the special education field has mislabeled these kids that are harder to deal with. I believe that these kids have superpowers (their disability) and only a certain amount of people get to see it because they have the patience to slow down and understand how these kids work. I can’t wait to be more impactful on more kids' education journeys.
