With more than 25 years of experience in teaching, coaching, and nonprofit leadership,
along with a passion for working with students, I am excited to contribute the success of middle and high school students.

I have taught secondary English Language Arts and Physical Education across Texas,
Georgia, and Ohio, and coached girls’ basketball at multiple high schools, including roles
as Girls Athletic Director and Head Basketball Coach. Throughout my career, I have built
trusting relationships with students, supported their academic and emotional growth, and
collaborated with staff to implement education plans.

As co-founder and Executive Director of my nonprofit, The HUB Youth Center (2010-2022), I
created a supportive space for K-12 students, designing programs that balanced structure
with care. We also partnered with local and area school districts to offer tutorial programs
at our facility and brought programming into these schools through meaningful assemblies.

I believe my commitment to student empowerment is reflected in my work as a keynote
speaker at women’s conferences, National Honor Society Induction ceremonies, as a
Texas Girls Coaches Association clinician, and as a leader in community outreach. I was
recognized in these leadership roles with “Citizen of the Year” and “Outstanding
Community Member” awards. I earned a Bachelor of Business Administration and Lifetime
Teaching Certification from Angelo State University where I received a full athletic
scholarship (women’s basketball) and was named to the Dean’s List for eight consecutive
semesters.

Through my extensive career in education, my Professional Life Coach Certification, a
Juvenile Supervision Officer certification through the Texas Department of Juvenile Justice,
and a charismatic personality with a dedication to serving youth, I am prepared to inspire
and support students in their academic journey.
