As an engineering program manager for twelve years, and with an MIT degree to boot, I know my fair share of math and science, having taken Calculus, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology AP II. It all started when my algebra teacher sent me to math camp and entered me into a geometry contest the next year, which I got a perfect score on all rounds. Proofs are my specialty. My tutoring experience comes from running a girl scout troop and tutoring kids of all ages through a library sponsored drop-in free tutoring. Each kid comes with his/her own learning style. I like to be patient but firm with my students so they learn the process, no matter how tedious or complex. I am a big fan of learning by doing, and I encourage my students to do the same.

If I didn't graduate in engineering, I would have gladly done it in music! I have played three instruments since age four, and I love piano the best.
