I am an experienced and adaptable elementary educator with a Professional Master’s degree in Teaching and over three years of full time classroom experience working with children from Pre K through 7th grade. My teaching background spans general education, inclusion classrooms, and special education settings, allowing me to confidently support students with a wide range of learning styles and needs.
I have extensive experience providing one to one academic support, particularly in helping students access classroom instruction by breaking down information, supporting executive functioning skills such as organization, pacing, and task initiation, and advocating for student needs in collaboration with teachers and families. A core focus of my work is fostering independence and confidence, ensuring students feel supported without becoming reliant on adult assistance.
Alongside my elementary teaching experience, I have recently expanded my practice into early childhood education as a Lead Teacher in a day-care and afterschool program. This has strengthened my understanding of early development, play based learning, and the importance of nurturing emotional regulation and social skills from a young age. I have also worked in dedicated special education settings, including an autism classroom, supporting communication, sensory regulation, and positive peer interactions.
I am a Certified Dyslexia tutor and bring a calm, patient, and intentional approach to teaching. I prioritize strong relationships, clear communication, and student cantered instruction to help each child feel safe, capable, and successful in their learning environment.
