I am trained in agricultural engineering, I earned a PhD in the field 20 years ago and I've worked in academia and the industry. I also taught at school and university levels, in various subjects. I am now a homeschooling my 11 year old son and I love it. I think the future of schools is micro schools that offer short school days and leave kids with plenty of free time to bind with friends and family.
