I am a teacher and counselor with certifications in School Counseling, Early Childhood education, Elementary Education, ESOL, and Special Education. I have over 27 years of experience working with children in preschool through middle school. I am able to teach and tutor in all academic subjects as well as social-emotional skills. I enjoy using my creativity in order to find the best way to teach each student. I am a believer in learning through play, hands-on activities, and fun. The more engaged a student is, the quicker they learn. Additionally, I am an animal lover. I have started pet therapy programs and pet reading programs in several schools. Working with animals can help students learn empathy and responsibility as well as lowering their anxiety. This improves their academic and social skills. At this time, I am looking for a position as a homeschool teacher for one or several students.
