I have over 20 years experience as a classroom teacher. A little about me, I live with my two sons (15 and 19) and we run a small chicken farm in Wilson County. We love all things to do with nature, sports, creativity and my youngest is a history & aviation guru.

My degree in in English Literature and my teaching degree is Secondary English grades 6-12. All though I have tutored grades K-10. I have taught middle school for 23 years both in CA and TN. This past school year I resigned at the end of the year. I love teaching and have a passion for it but needed a change from the traditional route.

While I am passionate about reading and writing, I really enjoy teaching history, science and elective classes like Home Economics, Journalism, Physical Education and Student Leadership. In all honesty math is my least favorite subject - I can teach the basics but would need a refresher on the upper levels.

I am an extrovert, creative, and I absolutely love teaching. Seeing a students light bulb come on once they "get it"
