I have been a teacher at heart ever since grade school when my teacher asked me to help my classmates with their work. Since then I have had many teaching roles; chemistry tutor in college, chemistry teaching assistant in graduate school (where I completed my MS in chemistry), community college adjunct chemistry instructor, and many volunteer teaching roles in church and clubs. For the past thirteen years my primary teaching job has been homeschooling my two children. We have successfully homeschooled independently (not through a public school based parent partnership program), which means I, with input from my children, chose and implemented curriculum for all subjects from kindergarten through high school. For the past eleven years we have been part of a parent-led homeschool co-op where I taught classes once a week to children of various ages. My son is heading off to university next year, and my daughter has decided to try out a private high school (she's feeling lonely without her brother). Thus I find myself wishing to find children to teach. Rates are negotiable.
