I am a certified educator with 9 years of teaching experience and certifications in both Florida and North Carolina in K–12 Special Education and K–6 Elementary Education. I earned my undergraduate degree in Psychology from the University of Colorado Colorado Springs with a focus on adolescent development, a Master’s in Educational Leadership, and I am currently completing my doctorate in Educational Psychology.
Throughout my career, I have taught students in a variety of learning environments including traditional classrooms, small group intervention settings, and virtual learning. I have also served as a department chair and have extensive experience developing individualized learning plans that help students build on their strengths while addressing areas that need additional support.
I am most comfortable teaching students in grades 2–8 and particularly enjoy math and science, though I have experience teaching all core subjects. My teaching approach focuses on meeting students where they are, building confidence, and making learning engaging through hands-on activities, creative projects, and structured skill-building. As a mom of three boys, I understand how important it is for learning to be both meaningful and enjoyable.
