My name is Mrs. Destiny. I’ve been teaching for almost 10 years as a Secondary Education substitute in every academic position (including PE) and a Special Education elementary teacher for the last 3 years for grades Pre-K to 5 in a public Montessori school where teachers guide, support, and encourage independent, hands-on learning. While using evidence-based instructional techniques/programs, such as Really Great Reading and Do the Math (foundational reading and math curriculum), my teaching style also includes background knowledge obtained from real world experiences that encourage students to better connect with material and their environment. I believe that each learner thrives when given the freedom and opportunity to grow at their own pace and the space to discover a genuine passion for learning.
