One of the most influential reasons that I chose to pursue a career in teaching, with a focus on Spanish, is acceptance in diversity. I find it absolutely essential for the student’s of today’s society to have an outlet where they can gain an appreciation for and understanding of the different cultures that make up the facets of our American society. I believe that one of the most important ideas in the educational field is philosophy that encourages the creation of well-rounded individuals that can participate in society in a constructive and caring nature. I believe that one person can change the world and by teaching students the skills needed to work together and appreciate on another our future can then become brighter with peace.
