Hello! I’m Ms. Batson, I am a certified elementary teacher. Currently, I teach first grade, however I have previously taught 5th grade reading. I have been a classroom teacher for two years. Before becoming a classroom teacher, I was a substitute teacher for two and a half years. I guest taught for classes from kindergarten all the way to 12th grade. I enjoy assisting students from all educational backgrounds and academic learning levels. I received my undergraduate degree from Norfolk State University in English. I thoroughly enjoy reading and writing. I believe the two subjects go hand in hand in becoming a successful writer. I hope to assist students who are interested in improving their writing skills and becoming more confident writers.
