Having just turned 30 I'm proud to say I've been teaching for over half of my life. By the time I turned 14 I had been taking guitar lessons for about 8 years, and was motivated by my parents to go door to door to my neighbors offering guitar lessons. Since then, I have had the joy of teaching music in South Africa, founding a Volunteer based After School Music program for underserved Boston Schools, and have taught in over 20 schools throughout the NYC boroughs working with students from pre-k to 12th grade. While my expertise is in music education/business/recording, I have 5 years of experience tutoring one-on-one and in groups for K-12 students for academics.
