Hi, I’m Yamilet, an experienced tutor and educator passionate about helping every student reach their full potential. Over the years, I’ve worked with learners ages 4–15, supporting a wide range of academic needs and learning styles. My background includes both classroom and one-on-one instruction, as well as extensive work with homeschool families to create customized learning plans that align with their values, goals, and educational philosophies.
I specialize in literacy intervention, phonics, reading comprehension, and foundational math, with a focus on students who need extra support, whether due to dyslexia, ADHD, autism, or other learning differences. I love finding creative ways to make lessons relevant, through hands-on projects, real-world applications, and connecting academic skills to a student’s personal interests.
In my work with homeschool families, I’ve designed and implemented individualized curriculum that blends structure with flexibility, ensuring students meet academic benchmarks while maintaining curiosity and joy in learning. Families appreciate my open communication style and the way I collaborate to adapt lessons as students grow.
What truly drives me is seeing the moment a student’s confidence clicks, when reading becomes less intimidating, math starts to make sense, or they finally say, “I can do this!” My goal is to make learning feel engaging, achievable, and meaningful for every child I work with.
At the heart of my teaching is the belief that every child can thrive with the right support, encouragement, and approach. I’m here to guide students toward progress they can feel proud ofand to remind them that learning can be joyful, empowering, and full of discovery.
