I am a certified Elementary Teacher, with a standard New Jersey teaching certificate N-8. I have worked with the special needs population for over 10 years. My experience includes teaching several years, as a private homeschool teacher, in addition to teaching in public and private schools. As a private teacher, I have taught in students' homes, where I worked with designers to create a classroom. I designed and taught the full curriculum for several grades, spanning N-8. On many occasions, if the family traveled, I would prepare lessons and teach virtually, so that the students would remain on task. I have taught with this similar style, privately, in several states and internationally. I have worked with adults, as well as children, in assisting them to strengthen skills, teach them concepts and help them to organize assignment timelines and content. I have experience team teaching, collaborating with other teachers across grade and subject levels. Additionally, I have taught as a supplemental instructor and as a basic skills instructor. I utilize several methods of instruction to reach a wide range of skills in my classroom and believe in the “team” approach, encompassing school, home and classroom, to reach all students. Additionally, I have taught gen. ed. and special needs students, utilizing a multi sensory approach. I have experience with curriculum design and with several reading and math programs, including Singapore Math. I have experience teaching virtually for over seven years.
