I am a mother to 2 teenage boys and I have recently transitioned my career from public school teaching to teach more intentionally through private tutoring, individualized virtual learning and emerging as a curriculum content creator.
Throughout my 12 years of professional experience as a Physics, Chemistry and Biology Teacher of multiple levels including ELL, Inclusion, Honors and Advance Placement courses, I have developed strong leadership, organization, and problem-solving skills that are essential for success in any teaching environment. First, my leadership skills have been honed through my experience in managing and guiding a diverse group of students. I have effectively motivated and supported my students, creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment where they feel encouraged to actively participate. Second, my strong organizational skills have allowed me to develop and deliver dynamic virtual lessons, ensuring that the science curriculum is effectively covered. I have also utilized innovative teaching strategies and technology tools to enhance student engagement and understanding, which I believe will be invaluable in any teaching setting. Third, my problem-solving skills have been crucial in developing individualized learning plans for students who require additional support, helping them to achieve their full potential.
