Brandon Bufe has an M.A. TESOL degree from Woosong University where his major was Cultural Studies and Postmodern English Education. He also has a B.S. in Communicative Arts and Literature from St. Cloud State University in St. Cloud, Minnesota as well as a minor in Teaching English as a Second Language. He also has a TEFL certificate from Hamline University in St. Paul , Minnesota. He has recieved a license to teach both subjects in the state of Minnesota (K-12 in TESL and grades 5-12 in the English Language Arts).
He has taught students of all ages in various kinds of courses in a number of different kinds of schools around the world. He spent 3.5 years living and working in Daejeon, South Korea at the Woosong Language Institute, Woosong University and Technical College. Brandon taught in the TESOL-MALL department at Woosong where he designed and delivered a required course regarding Issues in SLA and TESOL Methodology for its fledgling teacher certificate program. Returning to the U.S., he worked for Blackhawk Community College in Moline, Ill where he teaches ESL to adults. After serval years of teaching, he moved to China and taught ESL and English Language Arts in a high school program for students wanting to go to America. Brandon currently lives and works in Shanghai, China. Starting his 4th year in China, he is now the Head of the English Department for the IB Middle Years Program at a local private school.
When he finds the time, Brandon also likes to indulge his passions for movies, playing guitar, Philosophy, travel, and getting back into shape physically, mentally, and spiritually.
