I graduated from UCSB with a BA in Communications and hold a Multi-Subject & a Single-Subject English teaching credential. I just finished a 15 year tenure with the CA public school system where I learned that I truly love teaching all subjects & creating lessons that intertwine History & Science concepts with Reading, Writing, & Math practices.

I work hard to make all subject matter comprehensible and engaging for students of all learning levels and ages, and from any background, by universally designing lessons that foster abstract thinking and problem solving, encourage students to take risks and think critically. I give them time to reflect on their own learning experiences, as I continually reflect on my own practices in an effort to consistently improve as I enjoy learning along with them.
