I’m a certified Michigan teacher and former elementary school educator with over 15 years of classroom experience, having been in education since 2001, primarily in 1st–3rd grade (including 1st/2nd split classes). Since 2017, I’ve been working with homeschooling families both in-person and online, bringing my expertise and passion for education directly to students. My M.A. in curriculum gives me a strong foundation to create engaging, effective lessons that fit your child’s unique needs.
I believe learning should be exciting, so I use interactive games, creative activities, and hands-on materials to keep students engaged. Whether in person or online, I tailor every session to your child’s interests, strengths, and goals. I teach all core subjects for DK–2nd grade, as well as provide targeted support for struggling readers in grades K–5. I also offer sibling discounts for back-to-back sessions.
With my extensive collection of classroom-tested games, custom-designed online activities, and a commitment to following best practices—including elements of the Science of Reading—I work hard to make learning both joyful and effective. I’m happy to collaborate with your child’s current teacher to ensure consistent strategies and support.
