I am a certified special education teacher with a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Adapted Curriculum Special Education, specializing in Intellectual Disabilities, from High Point University. I have seven years of professional teaching experience, and a lifelong passion for supporting individuals with disabilities.

My work spans ages 5 to 22 and includes both academic and life-skills-focused instruction. I began volunteering in inclusive dance classes as a child, later supporting peer programs like Best Buddies and helping coordinate after-school programs for students with disabilities.

I started my teaching career in a specialized school for students with significant physical and intellectual disabilities. For the past four years, I’ve taught students with mild to moderate intellectual disabilities in a life-skills-centered curriculum, focusing on independence, functional academics, and building confidence.

I am now seeking to make a meaningful impact beyond the traditional classroom by working one-on-one with students in online or home-based settings. I’m passionate about individualized instruction that integrates real-world skills into daily learning.
