I have been in education for over twelve years and am passionate about education and engaging students. I began working in Richardson ISD as a special education aide and left the district to complete my Bachelor’s Degree in Education through Texas Tech University. After teaching in Dallas ISD for four years, I went back to RISD as a Bilingual Fourth Grade teacher. During this time, I also completed my Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction at the University of Texas at Arlington.
In my years as a classroom teacher, I have taught students from 1st to 4th Grade. I have also been a Mentor Teacher, Grade-level Lead, Teacher of the Year, and served on the Instructional Leadership Team at my school and the RISD Strategic Plan District Design Team. I am grateful for every one of these experiences that have helped me grow as an educator.
After nine years in the classroom, I am eager and excited to serve learners in a different capacity.
