Hi, I have experience teaching and tutoring math for the last 7 years. I was a teacher at a middle school and I tutored students at a variety of different ages. I love the feeling of helping fill in the gaps for my students. The most challenging part as a teacher and tutor is just figuring out where the gaps lie. Sometimes students may be taught to memorize a method and because they're not sure why they are using that method to solve a specific problem, it may be challenging to understand why it works for some problems and not others. It can be quite frustrating for students which I completely empathize with. My goal is to clear any misunderstandings and help students problem solve by asking facilitating questions to help them get to the solution on their own and build their confidence.

My interests include being active, playing basketball, baking, spending time with my family and my son. I also very much enjoy board games and video games when the time allows, especially Super Mario Bros. I was so excited to watch the movie.
My availability is on the weekends and in the evenings on the weekdays.
