I am a fully certified Middle and High School teacher, with over 10 years of experience teaching English and Humanities to grades K-12. Having recently moved with my family to Massachusetts, I am looking for part-time tutoring or teaching work as an English, Humanities or Reading specialist, as needed by students currently engaged in Home School.

As a teacher I’m passionate about pursuing the “Aha!” moment for struggling students. I love to design and use engaging activities that unlock complex ideas for learners. I also believe that as educators we need to tap into each student’s unique world and interests to help them understand an event in history, the power of language, or the message in a text - and then empower them to explain it successfully themselves.
