I combine my experience as a special education teacher and my ADHD coach training to support students who are struggling with academics due to their ADHD challenges. In one-to-one and small group coaching sessions, for students grades 4-11, I teach about executive function skills as they relate to school-based challenges. From there, the students and I work together to create individualized strength-based accommodations and strategies for their challenges, based on their unique strengths. Older students tend to focus on planning, organization, prioritizing, and working memory challenges. Whereas the younger students are more engaged with a fun, play-based approach to learning their executive function foundation skills. Sessions are 40 minutes for ages 9-12 and 50 minutes with an option for an accountability check later in the week, for ages 13-17. I work with students around the globe online in public school, private school, and homeschool settings. In person, I work primarily with homeschool students during the school day in their home setting in the Madison, WI area.
