I have four years of experience supporting students in becoming more successful academically -- specifically, I am experienced in supporting students with general English/language arts, grammar, phonics, essay writing, and SAT/ACT preparation.
In terms of experience, upon graduation, I worked for the Office of Admissions at Texas A&M University as a College Advisor, assisting low-income, underrepresented students in their pursuit of higher education; through this role, I served two different high schools in the south Houston area over two years, eventually joining the College Counseling team at the second high school I served. Presently, I work for Houston ISD under the College Readiness Program as a College Success Advisor, where I have the privilege to continue serving students in the desire to go to and through college. Throughout these experiences, I have worked as a part-time, private tutor to elementary, middle, and high-school aged students in ELA, grammar, essay writing/revision, and SAT/ACT test prep.
