I am currently a Special Education English Language Arts teacher for grades 6th and 7th grade in the Houston Independent School District. I am writing to request to be considered for a position in your department.
I am passionate about teaching and improving the learning experience for students as well as teachers. My devotion is evident when I am in a classroom or school setting. I love the atmosphere of working with individuals devoted to improving educations. I have collaborated with many different colleagues in different content areas working to improve individualizing education for students. I have worked with numerous technologies and applications designed for education and feel I can bring this experience and knowledge to Apple. I have seen firsthand how 1 to 1 learning environments impact education. Through the years I have cherished the opportunity to give students the resources they need to achieve at their highest potential.
Throughout my experiences in schools I have acquired a lot of essential knowledge about teaching, student learning, leadership qualities and collaborative practices. I have worked with a diverse group of students that have a variety of socioeconomic backgrounds. Additionally, in my experiences in different school districts, I have worked with kindergarten through eighth grade students and experienced how standards are scaffold and sequenced to help support student growth in a sequential order.
