After graduating from BYU-Idaho, I worked in an office for several years but did not relish it. I have no children of my own, but when my oldest niece and nephew hit first grade, I surprisingly found myself happily absorbed in their education. As the number of my nieces and nephews increased, I would often lie awake at night inventing rhymes and songs for grammar rules, scientific facts, and historical timelines to enhance their homeschooling experience. As time passed my classroom grew, additional students unrelated to me joined our little group, and I began teaching almost solely on Zoom. I have been teaching for six years, and I teach IEW writing and Fix It Grammar, science, history, geography, Latin and Greek roots, English vocabulary, and sentence diagramming. All of my subjects are taught in small groups divided by grades 1-3, 4-6, and 7-9. Only for IEW rough drafts and grammar do I offer individual tutoring.
