Hello families!
My name is Mrs. Cantrell, and I’m thrilled to be part of your child’s educational journey. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Education from the University of North Texas and bring over nine years of experience teaching in elementary classrooms. I am certified in Early Childhood–6th Grade (all subjects), Early Childhood–12th Grade ESL (English as a Second Language), and Early Childhood–12th Grade Art.
Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of working with students from a wide range of backgrounds and learning abilities. I strive to create a positive, inclusive classroom where every child feels valued, supported, and empowered to succeed. My approach is hands-on and engaging—I love designing lessons that are interactive, fun, and tailored to meet the unique needs of each learner.
I use data and daily observation to guide instruction and help every child grow academically, socially, and emotionally. I believe in nurturing the whole child and take the time to discover what strategies and approaches work best for each student. I’m also a strong believer in teamwork—whether it’s collaborating with colleagues or maintaining strong communication with families.
Together, we can ensure your child has a successful and meaningful school year.
Outside the classroom, I enjoy spending time with my family, drawing, painting, baking, cooking, and reading. My love for art often makes its way into the classroom, and I’m always looking for creative ways to make learning come alive.
I’m truly excited to partner with you this year and look forward to the growth, discovery, and fun ahead!
I am willing to travel a 40 mile radius
Here is my number (972) 439-5568
I can do both virtual and in person teaching.
