Passion. Equity. Relationships. These are all paramount to my professional philosophy that all students can learn and can learn to love learning!

As a teacher of fifteen years, I have taught pre-k, kinder, and first grade as well as tutored third through fifth grades. As a special education teacher specializing in students with visual impairments for the last six years, I have had the opportunity to work with infants, adults and all ages of children in between. I am passionate about braille and technology instruction and helping my students develop the skills they need to live happy, fulfilling lives. I am experienced in early literacy, developmentally and culturally appropriate practices, and fundamentals of reading. I have expertise in providing a variety of accommodations to students and am passionate about my work.

I work to foster curiosity, confidence, self determination and independence with my students. Through excellent relationship building, I am able to work with students of all backgrounds and abilities.
