Teaching students who have difficulty learning or are extremely bright are my specialties. I am trained in Orton Gillingham style learning approach to phonetic decoding, multi sensory teaching of both language and math skills. I favor an inquiry learning approach where the student is guided to discover what they know and what they find they are missing. I have many years of experience employing the National Institute for Learning Differences therapy model which helps students learn to modulate their emotions within the learning setting using a growth mindset which embraces mistakes as a valuable part of learning. I have experience with ADHD, Autism spectrum, Dyslexia, Dyscalculia, Dysgraphia, Auditory Processing Disorder, Visual-Spatial Processing Disorders, Intellectual Disability/mild, and Gifted learning profiles.
