Hello! I am a young teacher with experience in all age groups, most content areas, and diverse student populations. My Bachelor’s degree is in Deaf Education / Special Education, my Masters is in Curriculum & Instruction, and I have a graduate certificate in Applied Educational Neuroscience. I have 4 years experience as a lead teacher, including managing a summer school program at an online public school, but over a decade of experience working with young people.

I believe that learning should be fun and individualized to each student. I believe in learning driven by student interest as much as possible, using gamification and project-based learning, and engaging with families and communities as a whole. I enjoy creating custom learning activities to supplement existing curriculum, and I play guitar which I have used before in lessons! I have experience working with students aged 4-18, in both English and American Sign Language. I have a significant amount of experience with students who are neurodiverse and/or have mental health conditions, and have experience with these myself. I have consistently high student engagement and am frequently the “favorite” teacher because I find a way to make learning fun!
