Hi! My name is Laura, and I'm a private educator and writer here in Dallas! I graduated from Ursuline Academy with highest honors in 2017, and went on to Fordham University, where I majored in English and history. I now work as a full-time private homeschool teacher and after-school tutor.

I have 5 years of experience as a private tutor, and 2 years of experience as an elementary school private teacher. I find absolute joy in teaching elementary school aged kids, and I strive to make learning fun and engaging. I believe in the importance of creating routine during a homeschool day, but I also love to mix it up and surprise my students with a fun new project, art lesson, or field trip!

I specialize in elementary homeschool in all subjects, as well as English (reading, writing, grammar, spelling, and handwriting) and history for middle and high school students. I have experience working with students with dyslexia and ADHD, as well as students who need help with organization and study skills. I also work with students to complete their college applications and essays, and I have experience working as a test prep tutor for the ISEE test for private school admissions.

When I'm not working with students, I'm taking French and Arabic classes, playing with my yellow lab, or working on my second YA novel!
