K-12 Certified Teacher who conducts a comprehensive educational program that includes: assessing students' academic and habilitative needs, implementing the curriculum including long range plans and short term objectives and lesson plans, using a research based model to develop and implement appropriate instructional strategies, complying with district regulations, and providing professional assistance to students in response to their individual developmental needs. Conducts student assessments, prepares and implements the IEP, maintains student data including attendance, progress on IEP goals, and progress on curriculum goals in alignment with state standards. Possesses the ability to plan IEP's and carry out educational programming to meet students' needs to develop their pre-vocational skills. Familiar with implementation of an academic/functional program for students in accordance with established curriculum standards as specified by the NC Department of Education.
