Hello!
My name is Mady Darfus and I am enthusiastic about education. I can not wait to learn about the goals and wishes that you have for your child.
To provide a little bit of background information, I attended Cleveland State University and obtained my Bachelor’s in Early Childhood Education (PreK-3) in December 2016. Later, I went back to obtain my Reading Endorsement (K-12) in May 2017. I received my Master is Curriculum and Instruction (2019) from Ohio University. Currently, I am working on my principal licensure courses, as I hope to become a leader who can solve unique problems in the school and community. While creating a vision, that represents the needs of those families.
Upon graduation from Cleveland State, I completed a long-term assignment in second grade for Mentor Public Schools. I taught second grade at Denison Elementary within the Cleveland Metropolitan School District. This is my second year, teaching 3rd grade in the New Albany Plain Local School District. I really enjoy getting to know my students and creating a culture of accountability. I believe my various teaching experiences have allowed me to grow as an individual and professional.
I LOVE teaching and there is nothing more rewarding than to see students reach their full potential. My mission is to make a difference in the lives of the students that I teach and help them develop a level of self-confidence that will aid in their future success. My passion for education surfaced as a young child because I had a wonderful caregiver that made learning fun. She served as a great role model for me as I grew up taking care of my niece and nephews. They were so excited to learn and always exploring, this was inspiring!
This is a quote that inspires my intentions:
“It is the supreme art of the teacher to awaken joy in creative expression and knowledge.” -Albert Einstein
Please reach out if you're interested in tutoring sessions/student support.
Thanks,
