My favorite part of teaching is experiencing the joy children feel as they are able to learn something new. I had a student many years ago who described this joy saying, "My heart is laughing!" I aim to help all of my students feel the joy of a laughing heart. I have been a teacher in some capacity my entire adult life, am a mother of 4, and grandmother of 3. I enjoy the atmosphere of homeschooling/tutoring for the flexibility it allows of individualized instruction. I have experience in public education teaching first and third grades and hold a current Texas Teaching Certificate for EC-4 grades. I am ESL endorsed. I had a very successful PreK for 6 years and have homeschooled individual students in 2-5th grades. My early years teaching were done in a Montessori setting.
