Dear Hiring Manager:

I am writing to express my interest in the Teacher position. Before discussion my qualifications, I should start by telling you that each of my three adult children read before beginning kindergarten, and my 4-year-old grandson already reads. I taught each of them, and they are all productive, successful, and happy adults. Professionally, I have taught preschool and grades 7-12, as well as been a gifted and talented specialist.

In my current position as the High Impact Tutoring Lead at Education Service Center Region 13, I successfully collaborate with the Texas Education Agency on the Texas COVID Learning Acceleration Supports grant. This involves training educators in various Accelerated Instruction platforms, designing accelerated instruction conferences, and contributing to the improvement of instructional practices through data analysis.

As an Education Specialist and Instructional Coach, I provided vital support to secondary teachers, conducted training on Texas Home Learning and online grant platforms, and played a key role in the design and execution of the Instructional Coaching Conference. My commitment to teacher development is further evidenced by my involvement in the Texas Lesson Study grant teams and completion of T-TESS training.

During my tenure as a member of the for Write for Texas grant team, I offered valuable strategies to secondary teachers, organized successful summer institutes, and facilitated the Write for Texas Teacher Leader Academy. These experiences have honed my ability to create engaging and effective content for diverse audiences.

My extensive background in education at ESC Region 13 and school districts has equipped me with a broad perspective and a proven track record of success. I have written curriculum for the TEKS Resource System TExGUIDES, Paschal High School PSAT Summer Course, FWISD Reading Frameworks, and gifted and talented curriculum. I am or have been an education specialist, adult learning developer and trainer, PLC team specialist, instructional coach, alternative certification field specialist, cross content specialist, lead teacher, and teacher mentor.

I hold a Masters of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Texas at Arlington and possess certifications in various areas, including English Language Arts and Reading and Social Studies, English as a Second Language Supplemental, Instructional Coaching and T-TESS training.

I am excited about the opportunity to contribute my expertise to your children and look forward to the possibility of discussing how my skills align with your needs. Thank you for considering my application.
