With over 10 years of experience as a substitute and long-term substitute teacher in public schools, as well as an additional seven years of hands-on experience in homeschooling using a classical curriculum, I am excited about the opportunity to contribute to your child's education.

Throughout my teaching career, I have gained invaluable experience working with students of varying ages, abilities, as well as backgrounds. In my role as a substitute teacher, I was able to quickly adapt to diverse classroom settings, while developing strong classroom management skills and building meaningful relationships with students and staff. Over time, I developed a deep passion for fostering an environment where students grow academically, which is why I am eager to bring my experience to your school setting.

Although my public school experience allowed me to gain a wealth of knowledge and experience, the past seven years that I have spent homeschooling five students, spanning preschool through eighth grade, using a classical curriculum gave me a deeper understanding of the inner workings of a classroom. This opportunity has allowed me to teach a wide range of subjects, develop customized lesson plans, and nurture a love for learning. Several of my private homeschooled students took private high school entrance exams and scored extremely high which earned them scholarships to the schools. The one student was told by the school’s guidance office that her score was the highest they have ever seen and she earned a full four year scholarship to their school. Through homeschooling, I have learned how to differentiate instruction and create individualized approaches to teaching that meet the unique needs of each student.

I believe in teaching the whole child—addressing not just their intellectual growth, but their emotional and social development as well. I strive to integrate these principles into every lesson. I am excited about the possibility of contributing to your educational needs.
